From One Generation to the Next

Finding the Hope, Harvest Partner, News — July 12, 2013
Canadian churches involved in Finding the Hope campaigns are reaching homes in their communities with gospel messages – and they’re also discovering that these campaigns provide a way for believers to share their faith with the younger members of the family.

FAMILIES GET INVOLVED IN FINDING THE HOPE IN SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO.

During March, entire families in Woodstock, Ontario, got together to walk from home to home to distribute door hangers that let their neighbourhoods know about the Finding the Hope campaign.

“Eight-year-olds to 80-year-olds were on the street, delivering door hangers and praying for each home. It was cool to see. I was truly overwhelmed,” shares a pastor at one of the five churches that participated in the Woodstock campaign.

A pastor from Belleville, Ontario, writes: “What went well with the Finding the Hope campaign was the intergenerational involvement… There was a connection of all ages for a common purpose and it enabled the generations to work together and see each other for their strengths.”

Meanwhile, we’re receiving letters from people who recently found a Finding the Hope booklet in their mail. One man says, “I am writing to you to express my thanks for getting a burden to reach every home in Canada with the Good News of Jesus Christ… I trust that your vision for Canada, and the efforts of many, will be used by the Holy Spirit to bring revival to our land.”
