Filipino United Community Church are praying for their neighbours who are involved with stabbings, shootings and drugs. And as they pray, they are sowing seeds of hope by going to every home with the gospel message through EHC’s Finding the Hope Campaign.
“We have long been praying as to how we can reach our neighbours here in Winnipeg, specifically in the area where our church is located,” shares church spokesperson Lily Reyes, “but we knew we needed to have a more systematic way of doing our evangelism campaigns.”
Lily first learned about Finding the Hope when she was browsing EHC’s website and saw a strategy and materials that she believed could be of help to her church. She reports, “I shared everything with our leaders, and we started praying and planning.” Soon, people were wearing Finding the Hope t-shirts, prayer walks were organized and people distributed door hangers in advance of the mailing that delivered gospel literature to more than 3,500 homes.
The seed has been sown and responses are coming in. Now, it is time to water those precious seeds with prayer.
