Consider Titiana, June and Eldon. They have never met, yet they all play a key role in the same unfolding story.
June and Eldon live in Canada, separated by thousands of miles. Their common ground: they are EHC partners, touching the world with God’s redeeming love.
Titiana lives in Siberia. She doesn’t know June and Eldon, but every week these three lives intersect for the glory of God! Eldon is one of many Canadians who give faithfully and generously to support the work of EHC. He prays over every cheque he writes, trusting the Lord will use his gifts to reach homes in many parts of the world.
June is my mother. Confined to a wheelchair for decades and unable to walk, she prays faithfully for those who can walk and take the gospel message from home to home. My mother cannot “go” with the Gospel, but she prays for the workers who go, for the people who will hear and for the Spirit of the Lord to open the eyes of the spiritually blind.
Titiana provides the hands and feet to Eldon’s and my mother’s offerings. She delivers the Good News! A retired Russian schoolteacher, she lives on a meagre pension. With purpose in her heart, she wakes up in the morning and gathers together the supplies she will need for her day. She will go from home to home in a village where many people live with oppressive desolation, plagued by depression, alcoholism and other devastating addictions.
As Titiana goes, she is sure of one thing: Jesus Christ is the solution for the broken lives of her people. Because of her faithfulness in going home to home, many will respond to Jesus.
