EHC Togo is a perfect example of disciples multiplying as a direct result of the Word being spread. In a nation plagued by poverty, tribal conflicts, rampant with animism and voodoo, God is making a way for the Gospel. Building on years of faithful outreach, a new national initiative was launched by EHC Director, Edoh Fiozandji, in 2003.

The goal was to establish 7,500 new congregations throughout this complex nation by the year 2010.

Mobilizing people from 20 denominations, extensive research, nation-wide prayer, leadership training and every home evangelism saturation are key elements in this mission strategy. The initial faith goals have been accomplished as hundreds of thousands of people, many from unreached areas, have been profoundly transformed by the Gospel.

EDOH REPORTS
Two leaders in the voodoo community gave their lives to Christ. Another woman, desperately longing for peace, was delivered from the cult. One woman hesitated to follow Christ. She was terrified that when she gave up her idol, she would die. But the power of God’s Spirit prevailed when she heard that Jesus has power over death and life, and she committed her life to Christ.

Communities are experiencing on-going transformation. And the work continues. Edoh recently shared that over 50% of today’s workers are people who met Jesus Christ since the initiative launched in 2003. As the Word increases, the disciples multiply.
